What Is a Cellulose Sponge?
A cellulose sponge is a porous cleaning material made primarily from natural plant cellulose. Its key features are eco-friendliness and excellent cleaning performance. The sponge has numerous fine, interconnected pores that give it strong water and oil absorption, while keeping the material soft and flexible to prevent scratching surfaces. Unlike plastic sponges, cellulose sponges are naturally biodegradable and gradually decompose in the environment after disposal. They are odor-free, safe to use, and suitable for direct contact with dishes, cookware, and even skin.

Advantages of Cellulose Sponges
Eco-friendly & Biodegradable
Made from natural plant fibers, cellulose sponges decompose naturally after disposal, avoiding the long-term "white pollution" caused by plastic sponges and aligning with sustainable practices.
Excellent Water & Oil Absorption
The well-developed pore structure allows the sponge to quickly absorb several times its own weight in water or grease. This makes wiping more efficient without the need for repeated dipping.
Soft & Gentle
The sponge is soft and elastic, ensuring it won't scratch surfaces like ceramic, glass, metal, or furniture. It's safe to use on tableware, kitchenware, appliances, and walls.
Easy to Clean
Stains absorbed by the sponge can be rinsed out with clean water. Compared with traditional sponges, it's less likely to retain dirt, making it more hygienic.
High Safety
Free from plastics and synthetic chemicals, cellulose sponges are safe for direct contact with food and dishes. They are especially suitable for households with children or elderly family members.
How to Use
Rinse Thoroughly After Each Use
After cleaning, rinse the sponge inside and out with clean water to remove any dirt or grease, then gently squeeze out excess water.
Dry in Time
Place the sponge in a well-ventilated, dry area to let it fully air-dry. Damp conditions can encourage mold and bacteria growth, leading to odors and potential cross-contamination.
Deep Clean and Disinfect Regularly
Even with daily rinsing, bacteria can build up over time. It's recommended to disinfect once a week: soak in hot water above 60 °C for 10–15 minutes to kill bacteria, or soak in diluted vinegar or baking soda solution for 30 minutes, then rinse and dry to remove odors and stubborn residues.
