Types of Regular Cellulose Sponges Available
Regular cellulose sponge
These are traditional cellulose sponges, known for their excellent absorbent properties. Made from compressed cellulose fibers, they expand when wet to provide a soft and cushioned texture.

Manufacturing Process
Preparation of pulp
First, plant materials are processed to extract cellulose pulp. This pulp contains long, tangled cellulose fibers.
Forming the sponge
The pulp is mixed with water and air whipped into it to form a frothy mixture. This mixture is poured into molds shaped like sponges and then dried partially.
Bonding the fibers
Next, a bonding agent is sprayed onto the still-damp sponge. The bonding agent helps stick the cellulose fibers together so the sponge holds its shape better.
Drying and cutting
Finally, the finished sponges are dried completely using heated air. Once dried, they are trimmed and cut into different sizes and shapes for packaging.
