Products Description
The different colors of multicolor PVC electrical insulation tape are not merely aesthetic differences; they also serve important functions such as identification, differentiation, and safety warnings. Its core value lies in using color to achieve circuit identification and safety differentiation. Yellow-green is the standard color for grounding identification, while other colors are flexibly assigned based on phase, function, or application scenario. Regardless of the color of the insulating tape, selection must adhere to electrical standards to ensure color alignment with circuit attributes. Additionally, you can choose colors with superior weather resistance based on the usage environment to ensure the durability and safety of the identification.
DeRun Company offers a variety of colored tapes and can also customize products according to your needs. Please send us an email, and we will respond promptly upon receipt.

The Uses of Different Colored Tapes
Yellow-Green Bicolor
Yellow-green bicolor tape is used to identify protective grounding wires (PE wires), which is the standardized color for grounding wires and is mandatory.
Its function is to clearly distinguish the grounding protection circuit, ensuring that the conductive parts of equipment, such as metal casings and brackets, are connected to the ground to prevent electric shock accidents. For example, when an electrical appliance leaks current, the current flows through the grounding wire into the ground, preventing human contact with live parts.
Yellow, Green, and Red
These three colors of tape are typically used to mark live wires, which carry electrical energy in AC circuits.
In a three-phase AC circuit, yellow, green, and red correspond to phases A, B, and C, respectively, to distinguish the phases of the three-phase power and prevent phase errors that could cause equipment reversal or short circuits.
Black
Black tape can be used to mark live wires, neutral wires, or non-polar circuits, especially when color options are limited, to simplify differentiation. For example, in residential circuits, black is often used as a substitute for other colors to mark live wires.
Its advantage is its excellent resistance to UV aging, making it suitable for outdoor or well-lit environments.
